This building housed the first junior novel small Oriental Orthodox religion

In grocer House, in 1850, have been possible to lower secondary school courses in Roman Orthodox religion. Among the personalities who have contributed to such an achievement were the intellectuals Baritiu and Joseph Barak, along with Archpriest John Popazu. Financial efforts were considerable, but the project was supported by the population of Brasov Schei, who at his own expense built the school (during the years 1851 and 1854). The building itself is a combination of classical and empire style with Renaissance.. 

Metropolitan Andrei Saguna was the one, who asked, on September 17, 1851, the cornerstone of the new schools that have been with the contribution of those who wanted the most Romanian education. 3 years after completion of construction, in 1854, the gymnasium ranks third among Romanian educational locations in Transylvania  Subsequently, novel small gymnasium Oriental Orthodox religion will take the name of the founder "Andrei Saguna" (Since 1922). Building name would change in 1996 from the School "Andrei Saguna" the National College. It is worth mentioning that 47 of the former high school teachers and students have become, over time, academics.

High School can be seen on the walls of personalities such as commemorative plaques or Porumbescu Aurel Vlaicu.
