Due to its surrounding Brasov is probably of the most beautiful cities in the country. Poiana Brasov is on top of the list when it gets to winter attractions and it is probably one of the main touristic attractions. Endowed with 12 ski tracks is an important international touristic point. During summer you can wander in Postavaru Mountains or practice various sport activities like lawn tennis, riding or water-bikes.
Bran is also an attraction point due to its old craftsman history and agriculture which are still present and preserved. Of course the main touristic attraction in that area is the Bran Castle which became known because of the legend associating the names of Vlad Tepes and Dracula.
A few kilometers from Bran is the Rasnov Fortress build to protect the town from invaders since 1335. Around Brasov are to be seen a lot of fortified churches to visit like the one in Harman, with a developed village area around it, the church from Codlea initially build under roman style and later transformed in gothic style, the Prejmer church finished in 16th century with walls of 6 meters thickness and 15 meters high.
Inside and around Brasov there is no way how someone could get bored. There are a lot of places to visit and a lot of stories to live and discover.
