"Sica Alexandrescu" Theatre Brasov was founded in 1946 under the name "People's Theatre". Since 1949 it is named "State Theatre" and later in 1967 Sica Alexandrescu the great movie director, back then leading the theatre, brought it to the name of "Dramatic Theatre". From 1994 to honour the memory of the great movie director and mentor, is named Sica Alexandrescu Theatre.
