The stones inside the fortress knew the hooves of the ruler Mihai Viteazu horse, who in 1600 after the defeat from Miraslau, was forced to shelter in the fortress waiting for reinforcements from the Wallachia. Legends have not avoided the fountain inside the fortress, the 146 meters deep well. Two Turk prisoners diced the well for 17 years, during 1623-1640, by this hoping to be allowed to leave.
