The Drapers Bastion hosts the first virtual museum in Romania showing tourists through multi-touch galleries moments from the bastion and Brasov history. Such virtual exhibition is the first digital gallery in Romania, its functioning being ensured by the 3 of the 4 bastion floors. These investments cost approximately 290,000 euros and were completed in six months by a team of 32 specialists. The electronic items installed on the 3 levels of the digital gallery contain three tables and 13 multi-touch easels. The main objective is inserting the gallery in bastion architecture by coupling the idea of future ??space with the classic image of painting workshop. Multi-touch devices enable visitors to see the towers of various monuments in the city such as the Black Church, first Romanian School, Town Hall, Graft Bastion, the White Tower, Black Tower or the Schei Brasov. The main attractions of the gallery are the two giga-panoramics installed on multi-touch tables. Through them Brasov is presented seen from Tampa, capturing the smallest details of the city. Only by gently touching the screen and Brasov can easily be explored. The museum has created a special space dedicated to parents who come accompanied by children, so the Drapers Bastion offers to the little ones the opportunity to discover on one of the three multi-touch tables or on some of the easels, images symbolizing Brasov. The little ones will not only be impressed by the images, but also by the sounds the army supposedly made during the battles of defending the fortress. The little fellows won’t be too surprise to hear the sounds from the six vocal cylinders mounted in the bastion recreating the sounds of that period of time. Any history aspect the tourist wants to explore can be done without bothering the other tourists because every easel is equipped with his own sound system guide. This was possible by using an umbrella shaped SoundTube device that disperses sound only towards the person who is in front of the multi-touch easel. The city continuous economic development was mainly due to the sheer amount of cloth required by the rulers of Wallachia. Due to all the rehabilitations and renovation the monument was "subject to", the Drapers Bastion is now a goal that should be checked on the list of locations to visit in Brasov.
