The fountain, dating from 1885, symbolizes the oldest building of this kind in Brasov. At first, the fountain proudly stood in front of the „Andrei Saguna” school but the musicality of the component ornaments of the monument seemed to not in accordance with pedagogical principles and therefore was decided to be moved after 1910 on the place where is still standing today, namely the Rudolf Park. The current fountain was designed by an old model shown in photos from 1903. The building has 2.5 meters height and 4.8 meters circumference. The sides representing the art elements are castings from 3.2 tons of bronze. Rehabilitated in April-August 2007, the fountain firmly stands the flash-lights of those who sit on the side-lines and posing them, whether they are nicely dressed for a wedding held at the Army House or they are simple tourists that stop to rest in the Rudolf Park.
